Rotary Bangalore Whitefield Central (RBWC), alongwith support from BBMP and other government agencies, has taken lead in distributing food for various people in Seegahalli, Avalahalli, Maithri layout, Prashanth layout, Gandhi pura, Kadugodi in and around Whitefield. The beneficiaries include daily wage workers, construction labour, migrants from other states, transgenders, etc.
Covid-19 has brought a large number of marginalised families in distress as well disharmony across the society. RBWC has taken initiative to reach out to such families in the vicinity of Whitefield, with the support of its Rotarians and friends of Rotary. Food packets consisting of Rice, Wheat, Toor Dal, Oil, Soap are being distributed to about 2000 people everyday.
This includes distribution of 500 packets of food for needy through Rotary Whitefield Bangalore central near Prashanth layout, Maithiri layout, Gandhi Purra, next Wgs and Kadugodi
We have received a whole hearted support for the food distribution activity we have undertaken during this grave situation for the people in needy. We don’t know how many more days this situation will continue but with the monetary support of few members we are able to do the regular distribution for further few more days still the funds are available. We would like to place on record the contribution of the following members:
